MONTRÉAL · WORK · IDEAS · LIFE
I think a lot about how we can get much further without making our lives much heavier.
You might know me from helping founders get further in business (cathydotle.com · @cathydotle).
Think of cathyindex as the behind-the-scenes of cathydotle: the ideas, people, places, and little things behind the work.
p.s. on desktop, you can drag everything around.
THE WORK
I work closely with founder-led service businesses that already have demand, but have outgrown the way they currently operate.
Strategy, systems, implementation, and figuring out what is actually standing between where the business is and where the founder wants it to go.
This site, cathyindex.com, is mostly everything around that work: the ideas, people, places, interests, and little things that make me want to build in the first place.

I’m interested in what actually changes how we move, especially when the answer is smarter structure, a better question, or less force.
“How can we get much further without constantly asking more of ourselves?”
I read a lot, question a lot, and share the ideas I keep coming back to.
NOW
Building my own strategy practice full-time. Creating more in public. Meeting smart people in Montréal and internationally through my computer. Trying to become the kind of person who can hold bigger ambitions without making everything feel heavier.
I’m also boxing for fun (definitely for fun, because I’m still scared of receiving punches) and collecting ideas faster than I can publish them.
ABOUT
Montreal-based strategist, operator, and professional over-thinker in recovery.
I studied business, worked inside companies, helped build things behind the scenes, and eventually realized I wanted more freedom over what I worked on, who I worked with, and how I lived while doing it.
I care about precision, curiosity, autonomy, good questions, and making ambitious things feel more human.
I’m fascinated by people and how differently we all see the world.

SOCIALS
LIFE
Montreal cafés. Family restaurants. Late-night conversations. Nice cars I’m “just looking at.” Strangers laughing. Training. Good design. Random side quests. Travel. Dressing up. Dressing down (like a potato). Sitting somewhere beautiful with nowhere urgent to be.
I don’t want a big life only on paper.
FIELD NOTES
I like this better than sharing an entire bookshelf. One thing from each category, changed whenever I feel like it.
Enough to show you what has my attention. Not enough to turn the internet into my diary.
